Welcome to the August 2026 Update!
Upcoming:
- Saturday 8/1 - Need everyone to help with setup, teardown, and running the show. More OT for Nick that day.
- Tuesday 8/4 beings our Battle of the Ages! This runs alongside of open play. This year we split the club by the Zodiac! Fill out this form to find out if you are on team Air & Fire or team Earth & Water.. All are welcome to join this fun intraclub event! Shout out to Cladius Ptolemy for helping with team selection! Past event photos/scores can be found here.
- The Greatest of Phoenixville Table Tennis Championships will be held Saturday October 24th. The singles event requires pre-qualification, details are here.
- Our two room day will be 8/18. That's when we are down to 6-7 tables and usually implement code RED rules.
- We have purchased an outdoor table! Thank you to all those who helped with our fundraiser! The table will most likely be installed at Joe Rowan Memorial Park between the bocce court and the tennis court. The ground is asphalt and used to be a basketball court. So we don't have to pay for any ground prep. We just have to nail it down, with proper permissions of course.
- Our events are open to everyone and we always have open play during any events we hold UNLESS I explicitly say otherwise. Believe me, you will get emails, Facebook posts, and website announcements whenever open play is not available.
- Keep you eyes on Exton as they have monthly tournaments, kids events, coaching, and all kinds of events that a full time club can provide that we cannot.
July recap:
- Nick got 2nd place in the under 1000 at Princeton on July 4th.
- Kush got 1st place in the America 250 Tournament in Exton on July 4th.
- Steve took 1st and Girish 2nd in the Blob Trophy Hard Bat Tournament on July 11th.
- Girish has a comfortable lead in his efforts to take the Greatest Ever Doubles Champions flag home with him in December, but his grasp on the Speedrunners flag is not so strong. Get out there and make him work for it!
